Thus, certain activities previously prohibited are now permitted again, provided, of course, that the strict control measures stipulated in the decrees issued by the Ministry of Health are respected. We have listed below some points that may be of interest to entrepreneurs.

Shops

  • Premises with a surface area of ​​400m² or less can now open to the public without prior appointment. If this area is exceeded, the space open to the public may be reduced, subject to certain requirements (limiting the number of people on each floor, maintaining a minimum distance of 2 meters between each customer, and prioritizing customers over 65).
  • Premises located within shopping centers may reopen, respecting the above surface area limits, only if they have direct and independent access from the street.
  • Sales are permitted whenever social distancing measures can be respected.
  • Hygiene and social distancing measures must, of course, continue to be applied.

Restaurants et bars

  • In addition to the delivery service that restaurants could previously offer, Phase 1 now allows the reopening of outdoor terraces (limited to 50% capacity and with a minimum distance of 2 meters between tables).
  • Cleaning and disinfection between each customer is mandatory.
  • Menus must no longer be used (nor must napkin holders, condiment holders, or other items normally found on tables and frequently touched by customers). Single-serve containers may be used instead.

Meanwhile, other areas have moved to Phase 2 of the reopening plan, such as the Basque Country and the Balearic Islands. Each week, provinces can request to move to the next phase (out of a total of four).
